49-Year-Old Man Dead after Motorcycle Accident near Mission Avenue

MERCED, CA (February 19, 2025) – Early Sunday morning, Wesley Wrinkles was killed in a motorcycle crash on Highway 99.

The fatal incident happened shortly after midnight along the northbound lanes of the freeway near Mission Avenue. 

California Highway Patrol says the motorcyclist crashed into the center median for reasons unknown. The impact of the crash ejected the rider and his passenger from the motorcycle. 

Responding emergency personnel pronounced the male rider dead at the scene. Authorities later identified the victim as 49-year-old Wrinkles, of Atwater. 

His passenger, identified as his stepdaughter, Aryana, was transported to Memorial Medical Center in Modesto for major injuries. 

Anyone who witnessed the fatal Highway 99 motorcycle crash can call local officers as soon as possible.
