20-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Rollover Collision near West Gulf Bank Road

HOUSTON, TX (February 19, 2025) – Friday evening, a high-speed accident on Interstate 45 claimed the life of Markeveon Miller.

Authorities responded to the scene around 8:30 p.m., on the northbound lanes of the freeway near West Gulf Bank Road on February 7th.

According to the Houston Police Department, Miller was driving a black Pontiac G6 at high speeds and was suspected to be racing a blue Mercedes Benz 320 sedan.

Investigators say Miller and the Mercedes exited at West Gulf Bank where Miller lost control of his Pontiac and struck a curve before overturning.

Emergency responders arrived and transported 20-year-old Miller to a nearby hospital in critical condition. Due to the extent of his condition, Miller passed away at the hospital.

Meanwhile, the Mercedes went back to the scene and cooperated with authorities. No charges have been filed at this time, and the crash remains under investigation.
