29-Year-Old Woman Arrested after Pedestrian Collision near Weldon Way

KILLEEN, TX (February 19, 2025) – Early Thursday, one pedestrian sustained critical injuries in a DUI crash on Central Texas Expressway.

Killeen Police Officers responded to the scene just before 2:50 a.m., near Weldon Way on January 30th.

Investigators say the 29-year-old female driver of a blue Kia two-door car was heading east in the 400 block of Central Texas Expressway. There, the Kia struck a woman.

Upon arrival, first responders found a woman lying on the roadway with critical injuries. Consequently, troopers transported the woman to Baylor Scott and White Hospital for treatment of her injuries. Her condition has not yet been updated.

Following preliminary duties, the suspect was determined to be intoxicated at the time. Police arrested the involved driver with DUI-related charges.

Killeen Police Department investigators are handling further investigation into the DUI crash on Central Texas Expressway.
