Marie Heiress Cabotaje and David Stevens Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Crash on US Highway 90 [San Antonio, TX]
40-Year-Old Woman and 19-Year-Old Man Killed in Pedestrian Collision near West Military Drive
SAN ANTONIO, TX (January 14, 2025) – Saturday, Marie Heiress Cabotaje and David Stevens were killed in a pedestrian crash on US Highway 90.
San Antonio Police Officers received calls just before 4:50 a.m., at the 6600 block of US Highway 90 near West Military Drive on January 4th.
Reports indicate that the driver of an eastbound vehicle was unable to avoid striking Cabotaje and Stevens who were crossing in a no-crossing area.
A second vehicle, also heading eastbound, was unable to stop in time and struck both pedestrians.
Due to the impact of the crash, medics pronounced both 40-year-old Cabotaje and 19-year-old Stevens dead at the scene. Both drivers remained and cooperated with the investigation.
Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties.
No charges were filed against the drivers, and further investigation is currently ongoing.
