Woman Fatally Injured in Pedestrian Crash near Ham Lane
LODI, CA (January 20, 2025) – Thursday evening, one woman was killed and another was injured in a pedestrian accident on Mettler Road.
Authorities responded to the scene around 5:30 p.m., just west of Ham Lane.
California Highway Patrol officers say the driver of a westbound pickup-truck hit two women walking in an unknown direction on Mettler Road.
Police reported that the male truck driver failed to see the two pedestrians on time. The impact of the crash left one of woman with life-threatening injuries.
Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced the female pedestrian dead at the scene. San Joaquin County Officials will release the identity of the deceased victim once available.
Meanwhile, paramedics transported the other woman to San Joaquin County General Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
It was unclear whether the driver of the pickup-truck was charged by authorities. Lodi Officials will provide more information regarding the fatal Mettler Road pedestrian crash once available.
