21-Year-Old Woman Pronounced Dead after Two-Car Collision near Highway 65

EXETER, CA (December 19, 2024) – Saturday afternoon, one woman was killed and a man was injured in a stop-sign crash on Marinette Avenue.

Officers responded to the scene around 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of Marinette Avenue and Highway 65.

Based on the CHP report, a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado failed to stop at a posted stop sign for reasons unknown. 

Consequently, the Silverado collided with a 1952 Chevrolet Deluxe that was traveling through the intersection. 

The impact of the crash left the 21-year-old female passenger inside the Deluxe with fatal injuries.

Meanwhile, responding EMTs transported the 24-year-old male driver to a nearby hospital for treatment of moderate injuries. 

Police said the 40-year-old man driving the Silverado remained unharmed from the incident. 

Exeter Officials are asking those who witnessed the deadly Marinette Avenue two-vehicle crash to contact the CHP officers at officers on 559-734-6767.
