Seven Injured in Car Accident near West Slaughter Lane

AUSTIN, TX (December 19, 2024) – Early Saturday morning, seven victims were hospitalized after an auto collision on Menchaca Road.

Dispatchers received calls in the 10000 block on Menchaca Road around 1:00 a..m., just south of West Slaughter Lane on November 23rd.

At this time, the events leading up to the collision remain unclear.

However, reports indicate that paramedics transported four adults to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center and three children to Dell Children’s Medical Center.

Investigators say two of the children had minor wounds while the other child sustained major non life-threatening injuries.

Authorities have not yet released the identities of those involved.

An active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway.
