20-Year-Old Motorcyclist Killed in Motorcycle Collision near Walnut Avenue
VISALIA, CA (December 11, 2024) – Thursday evening, one rider was pronounced dead after a motorcycle crash on Demaree Street.
Authorities responded to the scene shortly before 6:00 p.m., near Walnut Avenue and Royal Oaks Drive.
Investigators say a vehicle and a motorcycle collided in the area. However, further circumstances leading up to the incident remain unclear.
Medical personnel arrived and transported the 20-year-old motorcyclist to a nearby hospital where they later succumbed to their injuries.
It was unclear if the driver of the second vehicle suffered injuries from the crash. At this time, the identities of the parties involved has not been released to the public.
At around 6:15 p.m., authorities closed the westbound lanes of Walnut Avenue, between Demaree Street and Royal Oaks Drive. Visalia Officials asked motorists to avoid the area or pick an alternate route.
