Juanita Ayala Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Collision on 10th Street [Reedley, CA]
77-Year-Old Reedley Woman Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Accident near G Street
REEDLEY, CA (September 17, 2024) – Tuesday morning, Juanita Ayala was pronounced dead after a pedestrian collision on 10th Street.
Police officers responded to the scene around 8:15 a.m., near G Street.
Upon arrival, investigators determined that the driver of a vehicle struck a woman who was crossing the street within a marked crosswalk.
Medical personnel transported the woman to the Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
Meanwhile, the driver of the involved vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. Authorities claimed that there was no indication of drugs or alcohol contributing to the incident.
On Wednesday, the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office identified the deceased pedestrian as 77-year-old Ayala, of Reedley.
Reedley Officials will release additional information regarding the pedestrian crash once it is available.
