18-Year-Old Woman Killed in Scooter Accident near Cosumnes River Boulevard

SACRAMENTO, CA (September 10, 2024) – Wednesday evening, Kaylee Xiong was killed in a scooter crash on Franklin Boulevard.

Authorities responded to the scene around 6:15 p.m., near Cosumnes River Boulevard on September 4th.

According to reports, the driver of a vehicle struck a woman riding a scooter in the area.

Upon impact, the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.

First responders located 18-year-old Xiong suffering from critical injuries upon arrival. Paramedics quickly took her to a nearby hospital where she later passed away.

Following preliminary duties, police officers do not suspect impairment to have played a factor. At this time, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway.
