31-Year-Old Driver Dead after Colliding with School Bus near West Arivaca Road
TUCSON, AZ (September 9, 2024) – Wednesday morning, Brian Jermaine Scupin-Dursema died in a bus collision on Moyza Ranch Road.
Dispatchers received calls just before 6:50 a.m., near West Arivaca Road on August 21st.
The Pima County Sherriff’s Department says the driver of an eastbound sedan was approaching a curve and failed to maintain their line.
As a result, the sedan crossed the double yellow lines and collided head-on with a westbound school bus.
Responding medics took the Sahuarita High School bus driver and the sedan driver to a nearby hospital. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced the sedan driver, 31-year-old Scupin-Dursema deceased.
No further details regarding the crash have been made public; however, authorities will provide more information when it becomes available.
