66-Year-Old Woman Pronounced Dead after Multi-Car Accident near Farm-to-Market Road 2549.

ROBERTSON COUNTY, TX (August 21, 2024) – Wednesday afternoon, Diana Burleson was killed in a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 6.

Authorities responded to the scene around 4:00 p.m., near Farm-to-Market Road 2549 on August 14th.

Officers say a truck that was towing a trailer was stopped on Farm-to-Market Road 2549 before turning onto northbound Highway 6.

The truck then struck a Cadillac driven by 66-year-old Burleson, of Franklin. The impact pushed the Cadillac into a nearby Kia Soul, which then collided head-on with an 18-wheeler.

Due to the extent of injuries sustained, a Robertson County Justice of the Peace pronounced Burleson dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, medics took two occupants from the Kia Soul and the driver of the 18-wheeler to a nearby hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

No additional information was released by authorities, and the crash remains under investigation.
