Leyda Medina Killed in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Collision on Victory Boulevard [Hollywood, CA]
29-Year-Old Woman Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Crash near Beck Avenue
HOLLYWOOD, CA (August 21, 2024) – Friday evening, Leyda Medina was fatally struck in a hit-and-run pedestrian collision on Victory Boulevard.
The incident occurred around 7:00 p.m., near Beck Avenue in North Hollywood.
Based on reports, the driver of a westbound Toyota Corolla struck a woman who was walking within a marked crosswalk.
The Corolla driver then fled the scene without rendering aid to the pedestrian.
Paramedics arrived shortly after and transported the woman to a nearby hospital where she eventually succumbed to her injuries.
Later, the family of the deceased victim identified her as 29-year-old Leyda Medina.
Following the crash, authorities managed to locate the suspect’s Toyota abandoned on a curb east of Troost Avenue. At this time, the LAPD is offering a reward of up to $50,000 to anyone who can lead the officials to the arrest of the suspect.
