Man Dies in Motorcycle Accident on 10th Street [Ramona, CA]
25-Year-Old Pala Man Pronounced Dead after Truck vs Motorcycle Collision near Main Street
RAMONA, CA (August 19, 2024) – Late Friday evening, one male rider was killed in a motorcycle accident on 10th Street.
Authorities responded to the scene around 11:30 p.m., just east of Main Street.
Investigators say the rider of a westbound 2022 Harley Davidson motorcycle rear-ended a 1995 Chevrolet 1500 truck that was stopped at a red light at the intersection.
The impact ejected the motorcyclist onto the road, causing life-threatening injuries. Due to the extent of his condition, medics pronounced the 25-year-old male rider, from Pala dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the 18-year-old man from Ramona driving the truck remained uninjured.
Police officers have not yet released the identity of the deceased victim. Authorities are currently working to determine whether intoxication played a role in the crash.
