Erica Miller Fatally Struck in Hit-and-Run Collision on 4th Street [Ash Fork, AZ]
16-Year-Old Girl Arrested, 47-Year-Old Woman Dead after Fatal DUI Accident near Park Avenue
ASH FORK, AZ (August 13, 2024) – Erica Miller was fatally struck early Saturday morning, in a hit-and-run collision on 4th Street.
The incident occurred around 3:00 a.m., near Park Avenue.
First responders located a woman on the road who appeared to have been hit by a vehicle. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced 47-year-old Miller deceased.
Additionally, the driver fled the scene without rendering aid or contacting police officers.
Per reports, YCSO received a call from a woman who said that her 16-year-old daughter had just been involved in a crash. Authorities then went to the home and found a vehicle with significant damage, and made contact with the teen driver and her passenger.
Investigators determined that the teen girl was driving the involved vehicle, and was impaired at the time. Officers arrested her on charges of negligent homicide, manslaughter, aggravated assault, excessive speed, endangerment, leaving the scene, and underage DUI.
At this time, no further information was released by the authorities, and an active investigation remains ongoing.
