Peter Morquecho Dies in Skateboard Collision on Main Street [Santa Ana, CA]
23-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Car vs Skateboarder Crash near 15th Street
SANTA ANA, CA (August 13, 2024) – Wednesday afternoon, Peter Morquecho was fatally injured in a skateboard collision on Main Street.
Around 5:30 p.m., first responders arrived to the scene near 15th Street on August 7th.
Police officers say the driver of a southbound vehicle struck Morquecho who was riding a skateboard west on the curb of Main Street.
Paramedics arrived and transported 23-year-old Morquecho, of Anaheim to a nearby hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Police do not believe alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.
Emergency personnel shut down the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties.
