Pedestrian Hurt, Alejandra Vasquez Arrested after Hit-and-Run on Hearn Avenue [Santa Rosa, CA]
33-Year-Old Man Critically Injured in Pedestrian Crash near Highway 101 in Southwest Santa Rosa
SANTA ROSA, CA (August 12, 2024) – Thursday night, Alejandra Vasquez was arrested and a man was hurt in a hit-and-run on Hearn Avenue.
The collision happened around 9:42 p.m., along Hearn Avenue near Highway 101 and the SMART Multi-Use Crossing tracks.
Security footage from a residence captured a westbound vehicle on Hearn that hit the pedestrian crossing the street.
The white 2014 Lexus IS250 then stopped for at least one and a half minutes before fleeing the scene.
Responding emergency personnel took the 33-year-old male victim to an area hospital where they remain in critical condition.
Using the footage from the scene, authorities managed to locate and arrest the registered owner. Police took 19-year-old Alejandra Vasquez of Santa Rosa to Sonoma County Jail for felony hit-and-run charges.
