44-Year-Old Motorcyclist Pronounced Dead after Fatal Collision near Loop 360

AUSTIN, TX (July 25, 2024) – Late Saturday evening, Christopher Hale was fatally struck in a motorcycle accident on South Mopac Expressway.

Just before 12:00 a.m., police officers responded to the 2400 block of South Mopac Expressway just north of Loop 360 on June 29th.

According to the troopers, Hale was riding his motorcycle in the northbound lanes when he fell for reasons unknown.

Another northbound vehicle then hit Hale while he was down on the ground, causing life-threatening injuries.

Responding paramedics immediately transported 44-year-old Hale of Austin, Texas to a nearby hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Meanwhile, the involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Police say that he did not display any signs of impairment.

Further investigation remains ongoing, and witnesses are urged to contact the local police officers as soon as possible.
