Driver Dies in Fiery Three-Vehicle Crash on State Highway 121 [Euless, TX]
One Driver Pronounced Dead after High-Speed Collision near Cheek-Sparger Road
EULESS, TX (July 9, 2024) – Early Thursday morning, one driver was killed in a fiery three-vehicle crash on State Highway 121.
The incident occurred just after 7:00 a.m., near Cheek-Sparger Road and Glade on June 27th.
Reports indicate that the driver of a Chevrolet SUV was traveling at high rates of speed weaving in and out of traffic.
As a result, the Chevy eventually crashed into a nearby disabled pickup-truck before spinning out and striking a Mazda.
First responders located the Chevy engulfed in flames upon arrival. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced the driver of the burning vehicle dead at the scene.
Authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased victim.
Meanwhile, the driver of the pickup truck suffered minor injuries. Emergency crews blocked the northbound lanes between Cheek-Sparger and Glade roads for several hours during clearing operations. All lanes were reopened by 11:00 a.m.
No additional information was disclosed by the authorities, and further investigation into the fatal crash on State Highway 121 is currently ongoing.
