Male Pedestrian Pronounced Dead after Fatal Collision near Highway 12

DALLAS, TX (July 2nd, 2024) – Late Saturday evening, one man was fatally struck in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on North Murdeaux Lane.

Dispatchers received calls around 11:45 p.m., at the 100 block of North Murdeaux Lane on June 8th.

Reports indicate that the driver of a westbound vehicle was turning onto North Murdeaux Lane from 7400 Great Trinity Forest Way.

There, the driver struck a man who was in the roadway, and immediately fled the scene.

Shortly after, the driver of another vehicle ran over the victim while heading south on North Murdeaux Lane. That driver also fled the scene without rendering aid or contacting authorities.

Upon arrival, first responders found the man lying on the roadway with life-threatening injuries. Paramedics quickly transported the victim to a nearby hospital where he later passed away.

At this time, the identity of the victim was not yet released by the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office, and further investigation remains ongoing. In addition, the suspect drivers remain at large.
