Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run Collision on State Route 7 [Spanaway, WA]
One Pronounced Dead after Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident near 204th Street East
SPANAWAY, WA (July 2nd, 2024) – Wednesday evening, one pedestrian was struck and killed in a hit-and-run collision on State Route 7.
Washington State Patrol officers say the incident happened around 8:50 p.m., on the northbound lanes of the freeway near 204th Street East on June 19th.
Investigators say the driver of a white sedan was heading north and struck a pedestrian who was walking along the shoulder. The driver then fled the sene without rendering aid or contacting authorities.
Upon arrival, first responders located the pedestrian down on the northbound shoulder of the road. Despite life-saving efforts, medics pronounced the unidentified pedestrian dead at the scene.
At this time, the suspect remains at large and an active investigation is still currently underway. Once available, more details will be provided about the fatal hit-and-run collision on State Route 7.
