Unidentified Man Pronounced Dead after 2-Car Accident on Farm-to-Market Road 800
WESLACO, TX (July 2nd, 2024) – Sunday evening, one man was killed in a two-car crash on Farm-to-Market Road 1479.
The incident occurred around 9:40 p.m., near Farm-to-Market Road 800 on June 9th.
Authorities say the driver of a white Toyota Rav4 was heading west on FM 800 and failed to yield the right-of-way to a northbound white Ford F-150 Lariat.
As a result, the two vehicles collided. The impact caused life-threatening injuries to the Toyota driver.
Medics arrived and pronounced the male Toyota driver deceased at the scene. Although, police have not yet released his name or place of residency.
Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties.
