4-Year-Old Boy Pronounced Dead after UTV Collision on Redington Road
TUCSON, AZ (June 16, 2024) – Saturday afternoon, a UTV accident on Redington Road claimed the life of Jaziel Coronado.
Police officers responded to the scene around 12:30 p.m., on June 8th.
Authorities say 4-year-old Coronado and his mother were operating a UTV in the area.
The driver then failed to negotiate an embankment and lost control before overturning several times. Despite life-saving efforts, medical personnel pronounced Coronado dead at the scene.
Police said that he was not wearing a helmet and no seatbelts were on. Meanwhile, the mother remained uninjured.
The loved ones of Coronado set up a GoFundMe page to help with costs during this difficult time. His family says he just graduated from pre-school and was getting ready to celebrate his 5th birthday in two months.
