60-Year-Old Woman Arrested after DUI Collision near Indian School Road

PHOENIX, AZ (June 17, 2024) – Early Sunday morning, Paula Carbajal was arrested and two officers were hurt in a DUI crash on 73rd Avenue.

Dispatchers received calls around 2:20 a.m., near Indian School Road on June 9th.

Per reports, the Phoenix Police Department was patrolling the area when a vehicle crashed into the patrol car. Due to the impact of the crash, two officers sustained non life-threatening injuries.

Following preliminary duties, police determined that the driver was impaired. As a result, crews arrested and charged 60-year-old Paula Carbajal with driving under the influence. Officers issued her with a citation before releasing her.
