Motorcyclist Killed in Deadly Crash near Shadow Lake Lane 

LOS ANGELES, CA (June 17, 2024) – Wednesday morning, authorities found Rita Flasch dead after a motorcycle accident on 5 Freeway.

Around 6:35 p.m., first responders arrived to the scene near Ridge Route Road and Shadow Lake Lane. 

The Kern County officials contacted the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Santa Clarita station regarding a critical missing biker around 6:35 p.m., on Tuesday. 

Twelve hours later, the CHP Newhall station officers responded to a single motorcycle accident near Ridge Route Road and Shadow Lake Lane.

According to reports, the rider careened off a cliff while traveling down a canyon road near I-5. 

At around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, officers spotted the rider with their 2022 Burgundy Harley Heritage motorcycle down in a nearby embankment. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department identified the deceased motorcyclist as Rita Flasch.

At this time, police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
