Woman Injured in Two-Vehicle Collision near Willow Pass Road
PLEASANT HILL, CA (June 19, 2024) – Sunday afternoon, one woman was hospitalized after a hit-and-run accident on Interstate 680.
Authorities responded to the incident around 2:07 p.m., along the southbound lanes of I-680, just south of Willow Pass Road.
Based on the initial investigation, the driver of a gray Acura lost control of their vehicle while traveling at a high rate of speed. The Acura then collided with a black BMW 320i.
Following the collision, the Acura driver fled the scene on foot and was last seen heading towards the Homewood Suites in Pleasant Hill.
Responding emergency personnel transported the female driver of the BMW to a nearby hospital for treatment of major injuries. The dog inside her vehicle was unharmed and later released to the victim’s relatives.
The CHP is asking those who witnessed the crash to contact their offices. Once available, further details will be provided about the fatal hit-and-run accident on Interstate 680.
