87-Year-Old Woman Dies, Man Injured in 2-Car Accident near Tatum Boulevard
PHOENIX, AZ (June 13, 2024) – Wednesday afternoon, Shirley June Goodspeed was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Jomax Road.
Dispatchers received calls around 1:00 p.m., near Tatum Boulevard on May 29th.
Investigators say the driver of a northbound vehicle attempted to make a turn onto Jomax Road from Tatum Boulevard. There, the northbound car struck a southbound vehicle.
Paramedics arrived and took 87-year-old Godspeed and another male passenger to a nearby hospital for further treatment. Due to the extent of his condition, medics later pronounced Godspeed deceased.
Meanwhile, crews listed the other victim in stable condition. Although, police have not yet released his identity.
No other information was added by the officials, and the crash remains under investigation.
