55-Year-Old Woman Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Crash on Prospect Avenue

FORT WORTH, TX (June 12, 2024) – Early Saturday morning, Rosa Barron was fatally struck in a pedestrian accident on Northwest 28th Street.

Fort Worth Police troopers responded to the intersection of Northwest 28th Street and Prospect Avenue, just before 12:30 a.m., on May 25th.

Per reports, 23-year-old Lopez was driving in the area and struck Barron. First responders located the female pedestrian lying on the road with extreme injuries.

Despite life-saving efforts, medics pronounced 55-year-old Barron dead at the scene.

In addition, police officers arrested Alexia Monica Lopez and charged her with intoxicated manslaughter with a vehicle.

No other updates were made on this case, and the Fort Worth Police Department is handling further investigation. Once available, more details will be provided.
