Man Arrested after Fatal Pedestrian Crash on Beverly Park Road [Lynnwood, WA]
1-Year-Old Child Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Collision near 140th Street Southwest
LYNNWOOD, WA (June 13, 2024) – Thursday, a man was arrested after fatally striking a child in a pedestrian crash on Beverly Park Road.
Police officers responded to the scene around 7:00 p.m., at the 13900 block of Beverly Park Road on May 30th.
According to the Sheriff’s Office deputies and Collision Investigation Unit, a 1-year-old child was playing in a front yard with two other siblings and their parents.
The 45-year-old male driver of a vehicle, who was a roommate, then pulled into the driveway and struck the child, causing life-threatening injuries. Medics pronounced the 1-year-old dead at the scene.
Following investigations, officers arrested the suspect and booked him into the Snohomish County Jail where he faces vehicular homicide.
In addition, crews took a blood sample to determine whether the driver was intoxicated at the time. At this time, an active investigation into the fatal pedestrian crash on Beverly Park Road is still currently underway.
