23-Year-Old Female Rider Killed in Solo-Vehicle Crash near Diane Avenue
SAN DIEGO, CA (June 11, 2024) – Wednesday afternoon, a motorcycle crash on Clairemont Mesa Boulevard claimed the life of Makenna Hruska.
The fatal incident happened shortly after 12:30 p.m., at the 4800 block of Clairemont Mesa Boulevard near Diane Avenue.
According to police, the rider of an eastbound 2023 Kawasaki motorcycle lost control and veered off the roadway. The motorcycle then crashed into the center-divider curb before hitting a tree.
The impact of the crash left the female motorcyclist with fatal injuries. Responding medical personnel transported the rider to Sharp Memorial Hospital in Serra Mesa where she succumbed to her injuries.
Authorities later identified the deceased rider as 23-year-old Makenna Hruska, of San Diego.
