Man Pronounced Dead after Bicycle Accident near Yale Boulevard Southeast
LOS ANGELES, CA (May 8, 2024) – Friday evening, one man was killed in a hit-and-run bicycle collision on Woodley Avenue.
Dispatchers received calls in the area around 8:00 p.m., between Victory and Burbank Boulevard.
Upon arrival, officers learned that the driver of an unidentified silver-colored vehicle collided with a man on a bicycle while traveling southbound. However, the driver did not pull over and fled the scene.
First responders declared the male cyclist believed to be in his 40s dead at the scene. However, his name has not been disclosed to the public, pending notification from the next of kin.
Investigators say the suspect was last seen traveling south on Woodley Avenue.
