Alexander Davenport Killed in Electric Scooter Crash on 36th Street [Phoenix, AZ]
33-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Electric-Scooter Collision near Camelback Road
PHOENIX, AZ (April 9, 2024) – Late Wednesday night, Alexander Davenport was killed in an electric scooter crash on 36th Street.
Authorities responded to the scene around 10:30 p.m., near Camelback Road on April 3rd.
Per reports, the driver of a westbound vehicle struck Davenport as he was riding an electric scooter in the area. Upon impact, the driver fled the scene without rendering aid or contacting police.
First responders located the electric scooter rider on the road in critical condition. Responding paramedics transported 33-year-old Davenport to a nearby hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Emergency personnel closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during clearing operations.

Phoenix officials are urging witnesses of the crash to contact Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS. All tips will stay anonymous, and there’s a $2,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest.
