26-Year-Old Man Fatally Struck in Hit-and-Run Collision near Arlington Avenue
LOS ANGELES, CA (April 1, 2024) – Late Thursday morning, Oscar Santos Farela was killed in a hit-and-run collision on 29th Street.
Police officers responded to the scene around 11:50 a.m., near Arlington Avenue on March 28th.
Per reports, the driver of a black BMW struck multiple parked vehicles after running a red light close to 100 mph. Investigators say the BMW also struck a UPS truck in the process.
The impact ejected a female victim onto the road where she suffered fatal injuries. Although, police have not yet released her identity.
Despite life-saving efforts, medics later pronounced 26-year-old Oscar Santos Farela dead at the scene.
Moreover, investigators say the BMW driver fled the scene. However, witnesses followed him, eventually leading to his arrest.
At this time, the identity of the deceased woman has not been disclosed to the public. Additionally, police have not released any additional information regarding the suspect.
