10-Year-Old Boy Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Collision on North Bethel Avenue
SANGER, CA (March 11, 2024) – Early Thursday evening, a pedestrian crash on Cherry Avenue claimed the life of Jameson Doyle.
Dispatchers received calls around 6:20 p.m., at the intersection of Cherry Avenue and North Bethel Avenue. First responders arrived to the scene just outside of the Rotary Ball Park.
Upon arrival, officers determined that the child was at baseball practice when he walked into the street. There, the 18-year-old driver of a Chevrolet pickup-truck struck him.
Responding personnel located 10-year-old Doyle on the road with serious injuries. Crews transported him to Community Regional Medical Center where he later passed away.
Meanwhile, the Chevrolet driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Police do not suspect intoxication to be a factor.
Officials later identified the deceased victim as 10-year-old Jameson Doyle of Sanger. Jameson studies as a 5th-grade student at Quail Lake Elementary School. At this time, the Sanger Youth Baseball Association canceled all operations until further notice.
