Bicycle Accident near Chatham Street Left 10-Year-Old Boy Hospitalized

DUBLIN, CA (March 8, 2024) – Wednesday morning, a bicycle-auto collision on Davona Drive sent a male juvenile to a hospital. 

Officials responded to reports of the incident around 8:00 a.m. along Davona Dr. near Chatham Street. 

According to the report, the boy was going westbound on Davona on his way to Murray Elementary School.

However, an eastbound vehicle traveling the same road hit the bicycle for unknown reasons, leaving the boy with serious injuries. 

Eventually, the paramedics arrived at the scene and transported the 10-year-old boy to UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital in Oakland.

Meanwhile, the involved driver stayed at the site of the incident and cooperated with the investigators. Police ruled out intoxication to be a factor in the collision.

Additionally, a portion of the roadway was temporarily shut down to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.
