25-Year-Old Driver Pronounced Dead after Single-Vehicle Collision near Camelback Road

PHOENIX, AZ (March 6, 2024) – Monday morning, Nathan Soto was killed in a solo-car accident on 19th Avenue.

Authorities responded to the scene around 10:15 a.m., near Camelback and Indian School Road on February 26th.

For reasons under investigation, Soto was driving a vehicle at high rates of speed and lost control. As a result, the vehicle struck a wooden utility pole, causing the power lines to fall on top of the vehicle.

Emergency crews arrived and shut down the power line in order to extricate Soto and his passenger who were trapped inside the vehicle.

Crews transported both occupants to a hospital where 25-year-old Soto succumbed to his injuries.

At this time, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway. Once available, more details will be provided.
