Crystal Mendoza Killed, Isaac Rebollar-Gonzalez and Maliki Howard Injured in Car Accident on Interstate 35 [Cooke County, TX]
One Pronounced Dead, Two Hospitalized after Auto Collision near Valley View
COOKE, TX (March 5, 2024) – Sunday morning, Crystal Mendoza died and Isaac Rebollar-Gonzalez and Maliki Howard were hurt in a car crash.
The incident occurred on the southbound lanes of Interstate 35 around 4:00 a.m., in Valley View.
Per reports, Rebollar-Gonzalez and Mendoza were standing outside of their vehicle after their SUV collided with a truck and careened into oncoming traffic.
There, 21-year-old Howard, of Los Angeles struck the two pedestrians and their vehicle on the right shoulder. Paramedics arrived and transported 22-year-old Mendoza, of Dallas to a Denton Hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.
Meanwhile, crews airlifted 23-year-old Rebollar-Gonzalez, of Little Elm to Medical City Denton in critical condition. Additionally, medics also took Howard to Medical City Denton with serious injuries.
