Pickup vs Car Collision near Orcutt Road Left Two Hospitalized

SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA (March 5, 2024) – Friday morning, a two-vehicle crash on Broad Street left at least two people trapped in their vehicle. 

Officials responded to the collision around 10:30 a.m. in the area of Broad Street and Orcutt Road.

According to the report, a Mini Cooper and a Dodge Ram pickup truck collided with each other. 

The investigators claimed that one of the vehicles lost control on the wet road, causing it to hit an oncoming vehicle. 

Eventually, the firefighters arrived at the scene and used the Jaws of Life to extricate the driver and the passenger of the Mini Cooper. 

Both patients were then transported to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries. However, it was unclear if the Dodge driver sustained any injuries from the incident. 

At this time, the identities of the people involved in the collision have not been released. A portion of the roadway was temporarily shut down to allow for preliminary duties.
