Sandra Barbre Killed in Light Rail Collision on 21st Avenue [Phoenix, AZ]
76-Year-Old Driver Pronounced Dead after Light Rail Crash near Washington Street
PHOENIX, AZ (March 4, 2024) – Late Saturday evening, Sandra Barbre was killed in a light rail collision on 21st Avenue.
Authorities responded to the scene shortly before 11:30 p.m., near Washington Street on February 24th.
Per reports, Barbre was driving a black vehicle and crossed in front of a light rail. As a result, the two vehicles collided.
Paramedics arrived and transported Barbre and her passenger to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
Despite life-saving efforts, medics later pronounced 76-year-old Barbre deceased. Meanwhile, her passenger remains critical condition. Although, police have not yet released their name or place of residency.
