Kenneth Macho Pronounced Dead after Tow-Truck Crash on State Route 74 [San Diego, CA]
Two-Vehicle Collision near Vista Point Kills 75-Year-Old Man
SAN DIEGO, CA (March 4, 2024) – Thursday afternoon, a two-truck crash on State Route 74 took the life of Kenneth Macho.
Police responded to the fatal collision around 12:30 p.m. along Highway 74 near Vista Point and milepost 88.
According to CHP, a white Subaru Crosstrek crossed over the double solid lines for unknown reasons.
Consequently, the Subura collided with a tow truck traveling in the opposite lane.
Responding emergency personnel transported the tow truck driver and the two Subaru occupants to Desert Regional Medical Center.
Later, the 75-year-old man driving the Subaru, identified as Kenneth Macho of San Diego, succumbed to his injuries.
In the end, San Diego officials closed both lanes as crews cleared the scene. However, the roadway was later reopened to allow traffic to flow. Authorities will release additional information as it becomes available.
