Colton Ortiz Arrested after Fatal DUI Collision on Interstate 10 [Tucson, AZ]
11-Month-Old Pronounced Dead after DUI Accident near Ruthrauff Road
TUCSON, AZ (March 5, 2024) – Tuesday morning, Colton Ortiz was arrested after a fatal DUI collision on Interstate 10.
Police officers responded to the scene around 8:30 a.m., near Ruthrauff Road on February 27th.
Investigators say Ortiz was heading east and struck 34-year-old Marquese Reese who was walking an 11-month-old in a stroller.
Responding personnel transported Reese and the infant to a nearby hospital where the infant succumbed to their injuries.
Following preliminary duties, officers arrested 32-year-old Ortiz and booked him into the Pima County Jail with charges of manslaughter, aggravated assault, and aggravated driving under the influence.
