6 Hurt in Three-Vehicle Collision on Grand Avenue [Surprise, AZ]
Lanes Reopened after Traffic Accident on US 60 Causes Closure
SURPRISE, AZ (February 29, 2024) – On Friday afternoon, police were called to a three-vehicle collision on Grand Avenue.
According to the Arizona Department of Transportation, the collision happened on February 16th, in the eastbound lanes of the highway on Grand Avenue.
Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after.
Furthermore, the authorities determined that at least six people suffered injuries to an unknown extent.
Meanwhile, the eastbound lanes were blocked near 163rd Avenue for several hours while crews cleared the scene. It was later reopened just before 5:00 p.m.
At this time, the circumstances leading up to the collision on Grand Avenue were not yet determined, and an active investigation is underway.
