Man Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Crash near Santa Fe Street
VISALIA, CA (February 29, 2024) – Friday night, one man was pronounced dead after a hit-and-run pedestrian collision on Douglas Avenue.
Dispatchers responded to the scene around 9:01 p.m., just east of Santa Fe Street.
Investigators say the driver of a vehicle struck a pedestrian. However, the involved driver fled the scene without rendering aid to the person or contacting police.
Paramedics transported the male pedestrian to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. At this time, the identity of the deceased man remains undisclosed to the public.
