Two-Vehicle Crash near Cedar Avenue Left One Bus Passenger Hospitalized

FRESNO, CA (February 21, 2024) – Friday evening, a woman was sent to a hospital following an SUV/bus collision on Shield Avenue in Fresno.

Authorities responded to the crash around 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of Shields and Cedar Avenues. 

Based on the initial investigation, a city bus and an SUV collided with each other, causing both vehicles to catch on fire.

Responding emergency personnel transported a female passenger from the bus to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries. At this time, the identities of the parties involved in the incident remain undisclosed to the public. 

In addition, police said the driver of the SUV had a suspended license and was cited at the scene. Officials are working to determine whether drugs or alcohol contributed to the crash.
