One Pronounced Dead after Bicycle Accident near Alton Avenue

SANTA ANA, CA (February 27, 2024) – Early Saturday morning, one victim was killed in a bicycle crash on Bristol Street. 

The incident occurred around 3:55 a.m., near Alton Avenue.

For reasons under investigation, the driver of a northbound vehicle was approaching Alton Avenue and struck an eastbound bicyclist. Upon impact, the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.

First responders declared the bicyclist deceased at the scene. However, the identity of the deceased victim remains undisclosed to the public.

Meanwhile, emergency crews shut down the surrounding area for a brief time during clearing operations. Once available, more details will be provided.

The Santa Ana police are asking those with additional information regarding the crash to contact the department’s Traffic Division at (714) 245-8200.
