Man Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Crash near Missouri Avenue
LOS ANGELES, CA (February 29, 2024) – Tuesday night, one man was pronounced dead after a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Beloit Avenue.
Authorities responded to the scene around 11:00 p.m., at the 1900 block of Beloit Avenue near Missouri Avenue.
According to police, the driver of a dark-colored northbound vehicle struck a pedestrian who was walking on Beloit Avenue. Upon impact, the driver fled the scene and made a U-turn onto southbound Beloit.
First responders transported the man, described to be in his early 30s, to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. His name remains undisclosed to the public at this time.
At this time, the LAPD is asking those who witnessed the crash to contact the department’s West Traffic Division detectives at 213-473-0234, or 877-LAPD-247.
