Scooter Rider Pronounced Dead after Hit-and-Run Crash near Tramway Boulevard [Albuquerque, NM]
Suspect Still at Large after Hitting and Killing One Scooter Rider near Menual Boulevard
ALBUQUERQUE, NM (February 15, 2024) – Early Monday morning, a hit-and-run crash near Tramway Boulevard claimed the life of a scooter rider.
The incident took place near Tramway Boulevard and Menual Boulevards around 2:30 a.m., February 5th.
According to the Albuquerque Police Department, the rider headed southbound on Tramway Boulevard when they were struck by the first vehicle.
Furthermore, the rider was ejected from their scooter and involved in a second collision with another vehicle. Unfortunately, the victim succumbed to their injuries, and authorities pronounced them dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the second vehicle fled the scene, and authorities released a description as a white 2018-2020 Honda Accord with front-end damages.
Further investigation is ongoing, and witnesses are urged to call the Albuquerque Police Department at 505-242-COPS (2677).
