24-Year-Old Driver Taken into Custody after Crashing into Patrol Vehicle near Forest Lane
DALLAS, TX (February 19, 2024) – Early Saturday morning, authorities arrested Michael Padilla after crashing into a police vehicle.
On February 3rd, at around 12:30 p.m., the Dallas Police Department responded in the eastbound lanes of LBJ Freeway near Forest Lane.
According to troopers, the collision involved a Dallas police vehicle occupied by two officers and another vehicle driven by 24-year-old Padilla. Emergency personnel responded to the scene to block a crash when Padilla slammed into them.
Moreover, medics took two involved officers to a nearby hospital for further treatment. They were released shortly afterward.
Following preliminary duties, authorities arrested Padilla and took him into custody for unknown charges. No other details were disclosed, and an active investigation is underway.
