John Cryan Dead, Nadean Lopez Arrested after Rear-End DUI Accident on Dyer Street [El Paso, TX]
22-Year-Old Woman Arrested, 50-Year-Old Man Dead after DUI Crash near Britton Avenue
EL PASO, TX (February 14, 2024) – Sunday morning, John Cryan was killed and Nadean Lopez was arrested after a DUI crash on Dyer Street.
The incident occurred at the 8500 block of Dyer Street, near Britton Avenue. Officers responded to the scene shortly after receiving dispatch calls in the area.
Per reports, 22-year-old Lopez was driving south and rear-ended a stopped vehicle, driven by Cryan, at a red light.
The stopped vehicle was pushed forward, where it was hit by another car traveling through the intersection. Despite life-saving efforts, medics later pronounced 50-year-old Cryan dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, Lopez and the other driver remained uninjured.
Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. An active investigation is still underway.
