One Pronounced Dead after Multi-Car Collision near Lawndale Street

HOUSTON, TX (February 14, 2024) – Late Friday night, one driver was killed in a multi-vehicle accident on Interstate 610.

Dispatchers received calls in the area around 11:30 p.m., near Lawndale Street.

Per reports, the driver of a vehicle lost control and struck another car with a Houston police officer inside. The driver then continued traveling before rear-ending a TxDOT trailer.

Emergency medics arrived and pronounced one driver dead at the scene. Meanwhile, paramedics also took a passenger to a nearby hospital for further treatment of non life-threatening injuries.
